Payment, Delivery & Complaints Policy

Effective from 1 January 2025  ·  TapTime

1. Payment Terms

Payments for TapTime's paid services are processed by ComGate Payments, a.s. (PCI DSS certified) on the web, or via Google Play Billing in the Android app. TapTime does not store card numbers or other sensitive payment data.

TapTime uses an internal currency called "credits". You buy credits for real money (in packs); Event Boost, Sponsored Banner, Premium and paid event tickets are then purchased exclusively with credits, not directly with money. See section 3 for how this affects cancellations and refunds.
Accepted methods Credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard), bank transfer, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and other methods offered by the payment gateway.
Currency Payments are made in Czech crowns (CZK). Prices are final. VAT not applicable.
Due Payment is due immediately upon ordering. The service is activated upon successful receipt of payment.
Invoice An invoice is sent by email after successful payment.

2. Delivery Terms

All TapTime platform services are digital in nature. No physical goods are delivered.

Event Boost Activation is immediate after payment is received. The event will be boosted for the purchased period.
Sponsored Banner After admin approval, display will be activated within 24 hours of payment. You will be notified by email upon approval.
Paid Event Ticket Credits are charged immediately when you join a paid event, but delivery to the organiser is deferred: the credits are only paid out once your attendance is confirmed on site (QR scan or manual check-in by the organiser). Until then, the credits are held by TapTime in escrow.
Digital content is delivered electronically. Physical delivery is not applicable.

3. Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal

Because Event Boost, Sponsored Banner, Premium and paid event tickets are paid for with credits rather than directly with money, cancellation works differently depending on what you are cancelling:

Credit pack purchase (real money)

If you haven't spent any of the purchased credits yet, you may request a refund of the money within 14 days of payment via the contact form. As soon as any part of the credits from that purchase is spent (on a boost, banner or Premium), the statutory right of withdrawal lapses for that part pursuant to § 1837(l) of the Czech Civil Code, because digital content has already been provided. Purchases made via Google Play are additionally subject to Google Play's own refund policy — Google processes those refunds directly, and TapTime is notified automatically and withdraws the corresponding unspent credits.

Sponsored Banner — before approval

If the banner has not yet been approved and displayed, cancel it directly in My Ads — the full amount of credits spent on it is returned to your balance immediately.

Sponsored Banner — after display starts (pro-rata credit refund)

Once banner display begins, you can cancel it at any time in My Ads — cancellation is immediate, and a pro-rata amount of credits for each remaining full day (credits spent ÷ total days × remaining full days) is credited back to your balance right away, automatically, with no manual approval step.

Event Boost (pro-rata credit refund)

An active boost can be cancelled at any time in My Events — cancellation is immediate, and credits for each remaining full day are returned to your balance right away. The consumer expressly consents to performance commencing before the statutory withdrawal period expires pursuant to § 1837(l) of the Czech Civil Code; this consent applies to the credits spent, which is why the refund of remaining days is issued as credits, not money.

Premium

Premium currently cannot be cancelled mid-period for a partial refund. If Premium was not activated despite payment, this is handled as a complaint — see section 4.

Paid Event Ticket

Until the organiser checks you in on site (QR scan or manual check-in), you can cancel at any time by leaving the event on its event page — credits are returned to your balance immediately. If the organiser cancels the event, credits for everyone not yet checked in are refunded automatically and immediately. If you neither cancel nor get checked in, the credits are refunded to you automatically 3 days after the event ends — there is nothing you need to do. Once you are checked in on site, the credits have been delivered to the organiser as consideration for your confirmed attendance; the consumer expressly consents to performance commencing before the statutory withdrawal period expires pursuant to § 1837(l) of the Czech Civil Code, so the ticket is no longer refundable from that point.

Credits refunded for a cancelled boost, banner or ticket are added back to your TapTime credit balance — they are not paid out as money, but can be spent again on any boost, banner, Premium or ticket purchase.

For a refund of a credit pack purchase, contact support via the contact form, stating the transaction number and description of the request.

4. Complaints Policy

If the purchased service was not provided in accordance with the agreement (e.g. the boost was not activated, the banner was not displayed), you have the right to file a complaint.

How to complain Submit a complaint via the contact form with a description of the issue and the transaction number.
Processing period We will process the complaint without undue delay, within 30 days of submission.
Refund For a justified complaint about a credit pack purchase, the money is returned to the original payment method within 14 days of the complaint being accepted. For a justified complaint about a boost, banner, Premium or ticket, the credits spent are returned to your balance instead.
Event ticket scope For paid event tickets, refunds already follow automatic rules described in section 3 (cancel before check-in, organiser cancels the event, or automatic refund 3 days after the event ends). TapTime does not adjudicate whether an event actually took place or who was present — that is between the organiser and participant. A complaint for a ticket can only concern a technical error, e.g. credits not charged, delivered or refunded as described in section 3.
Consumers have the right to out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
